ISSUE 1 - SPRING 2026

I'm Suzanne Duckett, a lifelong Londoner and a journalist, and I've spent years working for some of the UK's leading magazines and newspapers. I love this city, and I love great writing. Onolla, London, brings those two passions together for you, too. It's cheerful, optimistic, and rooted in helping you live well in this brilliant place we live in.

Onolla stands for Online Now, Offline Later – our way of making sense of how we live, work, play, connect and read. While you'll find a refreshingly snappy online Onolla experience, sprinkled with surprises and easy ways to dive deeper into whatever catches your eye, this glorious, feel‑good print magazine is made for slower moments and more leisurely reading, designed to be picked up time and time again to guide you through the season.

Ink on paper is powerful and, thankfully, I can feel it coming back into play, which is why I am extremely proud to be launching Capital Letters in our first issue. I hope it will reclaim letter writing, a crucial human connection that digital is eroding. As a letter writer myself, I love that putting pen to paper creates something considered, intimate and real.

Handwriting also requires the receiver to take more time and make more effort with the sender’s words, a mutually reciprocal and beneficial act of connection, even over difficult subject matter.

Capital Letters invites extraordinary people who have been born in, shaped, challenged and inspired by London to handwrite from the heart, to someone or something that matters to them, to spark hope and positive change. Our first three scribes do not disappoint.

Our first Onolla handpicks is another celebration of the power of the human touch, this time via the art of painting. This collaboration brings much‑needed support to those physically affected by war, via beauty. Take a look and I hope you’ll agree, our collective actions really can make a difference.

Living more sustainably and naturally is also non‑negotiable for me. In a concrete city, though, it can sometimes feel like an overwhelming effort to do so. That’s where we come in. We do the hard graft for you, filtering out the very best London – and beyond – has to offer to support a more regenerative way of life, in every sense.

Which is why everything we do is guided by four pillars. Heart. Mind. Planet. Wallet. From our stories and recommendations to the brands we know you’ll love, everything is chosen with integrity, curiosity, opinion (and humour, when needed), by some of the best journalists, experts and tastemakers. In this issue, you'll find eco travel holiday inspiration and lots of wellness, as always, covering spas, saunas, longevity clinics and a burgeoning Jiu Jitsu scene, to rejuvenate you mentally, physically and emotionally.

In a hectic world, Onolla is your deliberate pause. It’s about depth over speed, quality over quantity and style with substance. Add in community, new friends, joyful connections and a few good parties (do join us at our first Onolla Communal Table and group dinner) and plenty is waiting for you across our pages, in our pixels and beyond.

Welcome to Onolla, your covetable guide to living well in London.
